
Local Workshop: "Integration of Biodiversity in the Agriculture Sector – Case Study of Mount Namuli" - with community members
On Saturday, 20th July 2024, the Local Workshop titled "Integration of Biodiversity in the Agriculture Sector – Case Study of Mount Namuli" was held in Gurué District, Zambézia Province, as part of the FARSYMABI Project.
This workshop aimed to present, discuss, and validate the research results conducted between June and October 2023 with the communities of Murrabué-sede, Curuca, and Txipe from Mount Namuli, which were the focus of the study.
The discussion also explored strategic options and intervention areas suitable for the context of Mount Namuli to balance the local development of communities with biodiversity conservation.
A total of 41 members from the mentioned communities participated, all of whom deemed the topics and shared findings important and stated their intention to share the information with other community members.
The FARSYMABI Project is coordinated by OMR, in partnership with the University of Lisbon/ISA, UEM/FAEF, and Lúrio University/FCA.
